Contents:

We will present mathematical techniques which are necessary for a deeper understanding of physics. In the first part of the lecture course we will study topics from linear algebra (e.g., vector spaces) and from the analysis of one variable (e.g., differentiation and integration).

There are three rules for a successful first semester:

  • Take an active part in the exercises and solve the homework problems.

Exam:

For a success in this module, you have to participate in the exercise groups and to pass the written exam. The exam will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2013, 11.30-13.30, in  R 711 and R 712.
