Lena Reichle

Ph. D. student Lena Reichle

Since April 2020 I am a Ph.D. student in the group of Prof. Dr. Stefan Volkwein. In my Ph.D. I work on optimization of district heating networks.

This position is supported by the german BMBF-Project: "Entwicklung einer Software zur optimalen Auslegung und dynamischen Betriebsweise von bidirektionalen Anergie und Wärmenetzen mit dezentralen Einspeisungen".

Research Topics:

  • PDE constrained optimization
  • Multiobjective optimal control of partial differential equations
  • Model order reduction techniques
  • Differential algebraic equations
  • District heating networks

Programming languages and Software used:

  • Matlab
  • Latex
  • Python

Teaching:

  • Summer Term 2023: Supervision of the lecture "Optimization I" by Prof. Volkwein together with Christian Jäkle.
  • Summer Term 2020: Supervision of the lecture "Computer Application in Mathematics" by Dr. Frei together with Marco Bernreuther.
