Pursuing a PhD in Mathematics

Are you interested in a pursuing a PhD in mathematics or statistics?

The prerequisite for pursuing a PhD in our department is usually a Master's degree in mathematics or statistics with an average grade of "good" or better, or a comparable degree. More detailed information can be found in the doctoral degree regulations.

If you meet the requirements for admission, the first step is to find a supervisor for your planned doctoral project. To do this, please directly contact our professors in whose research area you wish to pursue your PhD studies. They will also support you in your search for a suitable topic for your and advise you on funding options.

Once you have found a supervisor and agreed on a topic for your doctorate, please fill out the forms for the application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate and submit them to the departmental advisor.
